My Family in Iceland
is a photo series shot in Iceland on Maryhill Road, the street I lived on at the time, where I collaborated with strangers to re-stage family photographs. The project was a way of bringing people together and examining Iceland in relation to home and belonging. We spoke about the places we call home, the places we are familiar with and what it means to know your way around.
In December 2016 I delivered a presentation on the project and engaged in a creative discussion arounds the themes at the Live Art Development Agency in London as part of Artsadmin's BANNER graduate award.
This project was part of research for Elision, a performance of joining together or merging different ideas in order to examine our culture of separation and segregation.
